The Kitchen

The laundry and the factory kitchen for the kosher preparation of the meat and sausage products were attached to the butchery. A hand-operated water pump and a sink for carefully rinsing any remaining blood from the meat, an important rule for kosher butchery, were located on the rear wall. A vessel used for making sausages probably stood next to the door to the butchery.

The crack in the flagstones and the shattered ceiling beam bear witness to the destruction of the bombing raid on 23 March 1945.
